So, in celebration of my third year of blogging, I thought I'd do something different and actually talk about how some of these images came about. (I think that's the first time I've used a personal pronoun. Everything's changing.)
I spent a day a couple weeks ago at the Outback Pro-Am, a senior tour event north of Tampa that attracts a few big name golfers and a few local celebrities (aka Buccaneers). Spent the day following Tom Watson for a few holes, the returning champ, for a feature.
After I fired a few frames on the first hole, Watson walked over to me. I wondered if I'd fired too early on his backswing and he was upset, but he actually turned out to be a curious amateur photographer. We spent a few minutes talking about exposure bracketing and back-lighting between holes. Watson went on to repeat as champion that weekend.
