11 26 2007 - TAMPA - Allen Hicks, a coach at Middleton High School, spends Monday afternoon hitting pop flies to Jesuit freshman Chris Polo at Henry and Ola Playground in Seminole Heights. Hicks said he has been volunteering with baseball players in Tampa for decades and once taught a young Dwight Gooden the curve ball. Polo was working out in preparation for the season at Jesuit.
