04 27 2007 - Tim Lowry, 19, and the Storm soccer team of Pinellas County celebrate their win Friday over a team from Manatee County to advance to the championship at the Florida Special Olympics, being held this weekend at the University of South Florida in Tampa. The Storm, made up of athletes from the St. Petersburg-area ages 12 to 35, also won the basketball title in the Winter Special Olympics this year. Coach Larry Geiger, who coaches his brother David on the team, said the Storm are undefeated since they began play in February. The play for a second gold medal tomorrow as the games conclude at USF with competitions also being held in tennis, volleyball, bocce and track and field. BRIAN CASSELLA | Times
