01 21 2007 - Narin Rutirasiri (left), of Melbourne, and Pawaret Kusonmanit, of Plant City, join other Buddhists in reciting a prayer Sunday at the Florida Meditation Center in Plant City. Tucked behind a Plant City subdivision is a sanctuary for Buddhists. They arrived four months ago and began turning the largely undeveloped land into the Florida Meditation Center. The Center, which is actually a two-story house, is run by monks from Thailand. So far, about 20 adherents, mostly Thai, come to weekly Meditation sessions at the center. Audio slideshow.
