20060612 - Cynthia Tate was inside her home adjacent to Peter O. Knight Airport on Davis Islands when a small plane struck her house Monday after skidding across the runway and went up in flames. Her husband, Tom Tate (left), looks over the damage from across the street while Cynthia is comforted by neighbors. The pilot was killed, but the co-pilot escaped with burn injuries. Two dogs and a cat inside the house were found dead. (Times photo by Brian Cassella)
