shalwar-kameez. Kumar wore the outfit to perform a dance with three
other girls as the group Mast-matiara, which means "carefree,
energetic girls," at the celebration of the 58th anniversary of
India's Independance Day held Sunday at the State Capitol. The event
included speeches by notable local Indian-Americans and Connecticut
political leaders and featured the raising of the Indian flag over the
