11 08 2006 - Amtrak engineer Billy Parker, 55, is met by his wife, Trish, at the scene of an accident Wednesday afternoon in east Tampa after his train struck a tractor trailer, killing the driver. Trish Parker had traveled to Tampa to surprise her husband after he was shaken up by a near collision earlier in the week. 75 passengers were aboard the train, but none were seriously injured. Billy Parker was involved in a deadly train accident in 1993 in Jacksonville and had quit driving trains for ten years, during which he founded a non-profit group to educate the public about train safety.
